Sweet chestnut is non-native and is believed to have been brought to the British Isles by the Romans. The trees are traditionally coppiced and can be found predominantly in southern England. If left to grow, can reach a height of over 20 metres. Suitable for large gardens and woodland areas.

Our stock is predominantly grown from seeds sourced from the south of England.
